MISSION
The mission of the Hayti Historical Society (HHS) is to preserve and celebrate the African American legacy of Hayti’s educational, cultural, social and religious institutions; and to educate the wider community about its history and contributions.
Since 2019, HHS’s activities in the areas of historical research, preservation activities, community programming and multi-media production have advanced its mission, programs and projects. Of paramount importance is preserving, rehabilitating and repurposing the historic Passtown Elementary School (Pass School) as a community and heritage center.
